School Crisis Prevention, Preparedness, Response & Recovery

Through funding from the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH), the BIRCh Center offers PREPaRE training from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) at no cost to Massachusetts public schools and their community partners.

Prepare Your School Community for Crisis

Schools play a critical role in preventing, responding to, and recovering from crises. PREPaRE training gives school and community professionals practical knowledge and skills to build comprehensive crisis plans and support students, staff, and families when crises occur.

The BIRCh Center offers both PREPaRE Workshop 1 and Workshop 2, providing opportunities to build skills across the full continuum of school crisis prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.
